2026 Georgia Senate Predictions
and Polling
The 2026 Georgia Senate Forecast uses a data-driven model that incorporates polling, historical trends, candidate quality, and fundraising, and is updated daily with the latest information. We also track the polling in the race, including head-to-head matchups and each candidate’s favorable/unfavorable ratings.
On January 10, 2021, Jon Ossoff won a stunning victory over Senator David Perdue, ousting an incumbent who had narrowly finished ahead of him in the first round of the election back in November. The race automatically advanced to a runoff after Perdue failed to reach 50%. Now Senator Ossoff will look to defend his seat in his first re-election. Republicans hope to break their recent three-election losing streak in 2026, after Donald Trump carried the state by 2.2% in the 2024 presidential election.
There are three serious contenders for the Republican nomination: Congressman Mike Collins, Congressman Buddy Carter, and Football Coach Derek Dooley. Governor Kemp has endorsed Dooley, his decades-long friend that is the younger brother of his college roommate.
