The politics in Iowa have shifted quite a bit since Democrats won three of the four Congressional seats in 2018 after Republicans flipped two of the seats in 2020. Now, they are looking to get a clean sweep in 2022, focusing on the Iowa 3rd, where Congresswoman Cindy Axne is running for re-election. Democrats, however, have an outside shot at re-taking the Iowa 1st and 2nd districts, although their chances would be much higher in a more favorable midterm cycle. RacetotheWH launched in the 2020 election cycle, and our forecast was one of the nation's most accurate. It called over 93% of races right, and outperformed almost all its top competitors at predicting the final margin in close Senate races. We’re projecting the result for all 34 Senate Races up in 2022.
